Breathwork for emotional healing and tension release

Learn how you can use the ancient art of breathing to help you heal your past, reduce anxiety, and feel safe in your body.

If you’re dealing with…

• Symptoms of anxiety or depression
Physical tension
Sleep disturbances or nightmares
Obsessive tendencies
Addictive behaviors
Processing a death or grieving a form of loss
Feeling emotionally reactive or unstable

... then you are likely holding emotional grief and tension.

“How we breathe is how we live.”

Here’s why the breath is so vital...

Modern life can make us tense.

So many of us are taught...
to suck in our guts
to sit for long hours while we work
to “toughen up”
to hold back our tears
to not express our emotions
to not show fear or weakness

When we constantly live in a state of “pushing through” and “holding back”, we tighten up.

The body holds all of our unprocessed emotions.

Over time they can continue to build up...
This causes tension, anxiety, stress, and fatigue.
Our breathing pattern becomes irregular and constricted.
And all of this ultimately leads to disease.

When we hold unprocessed emotions...
we project our past onto the present
we may become emotionally reactive
we limit ourselves and self-sabotage
we behave in ways that feel out of our control
we may feel called to self-medicating, obsessive thinking, and seeking escape
our sleep quality goes down and our energy becomes depleted

The majority of us are dealing with these things and do not have healthy answers for them…

“We are indeed living in the past and constantly writing a future that obediently replicates the emotional content of our past.”

– Michael Brown

The healing power of breathwork

Breathwork is the most powerful healing modality that I’ve found. Hands down.

It is a process of safely energizing the nervous system...
... in order to intentionally face our pain.

Breathwork helps us to heal the past, release physical tension, and soothe stress and anxiety.

Ultimately, it is a process of choosing to face all parts of ourselves... rather than fighting the never-ending battle of pushing things down.

My name is Jack and I’m a personal growth and healing facilitator.

My own healing journey started in 2019 when I was diagnosed with OCD. I was prescribed an antidepressant (Zoloft) and tried taking psychedelics instead. It took a lot of trial and error, but now I no longer suffer from OCD.

I’ve experienced severe trauma, suffered from constant nightmares and insomnia, and healed from PTSD. I’ve worked through tons of shame, including sexual guilt and shame that used to cause me TONS of anxiety. I’ve hit rock bottom several times and peered over the edge of insanity. I know what it feels like to be extremely fragile, and to feel constantly unsafe and paranoid.

And I’ve recovered from all of it.

Now, I help people with the things I have been through. I’ve worked professionally in the psychedelics and healing space since 2020. I’ve been hosting community gatherings, facilitating men’s work, and offering 1-1 guidance since the start of 2022. In early 2023, I began professional training in transformational breathwork.

In summary, I help people heal, grow, and discover themselves.
Much of the healing work I do centers around breathwork.

“The refusal to accept suffering can often create neurotic conditions, while generous acceptance of unavoidable suffering leads to insight, growth, and achievement”.

– Roberto Assagioli

Everything we carry with us emotionally and physically shows up in how we breathe.

When I facilitate breathwork with clients, a big part of the process is in helping you to identify what’s showing up in your breathing pattern.

For example, if you regularly feel anxious or overwhelmed, there is a good chance you struggle to exhale fully, and perhaps you also tend to inhale and then hold your breath as you go about your day. The tendency to “hold on” to the breath is a tendency to “hold on” to things in life that we want more control over.

Similarly, if you are depressed or find yourself tired or unmotivated, there is a good chance you are not breathing in enough. Breath is life force, and when we don’t get enough of it, it shows in our emotions and attitude towards life.

Through our work together, we will work to uncover subconscious patterns that are showing up in your breath, then collaborate to re-program your body and nervous system to breathe in ways that support healthier rhythms.

Committing to breathwork as a personal healing modality is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I cannot recommend it enough.

If you feel curious about this modality, I encourage you to book a session with me and discover what it can do for you.

“The more prana (breath) something has, the more alive it is... When we breathe, we expand our life force.”

– James Nester, Author of Breath

The impact my frameworks have made for clients…

“What have I done to get where I am? In what ways have I constructed my illness? Answering that question is the healing process.”

– Jonathan Flores, M.D.
